Our guest mentors from Iceland and Italy are:
- Kolbeinn Arnbjornsson (Iceland)
Kolbeinn has been prolific in the independant stage art scene, tv and film. Writing for both TV and theater. His work on stage involves visuals, performance art, dance and theater which makes Kolbeinn an exciting creative artist. Kolbeinn graduated with a BFA degree in acting from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2012 and works equally on stage, voice acting and in cinema.
- Aldís Amah Hamilton (Iceland)
She graduated from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2016 and was immediately offered a role in Vesturports Othello, playing Desdemona. She has built a successful career as an actress, voice over artist and script writer and her latest film projects include the series Black Sands (premiering at the Berlin film festival) which she co-wrote and starred in as well as the Netflix series’s Katla and the Valhalla Murders.
She will soon return to the stage in Iceland’s City Theatres’ production of “Jagged Little Pill” portraying the role of Frankie.
- Hannes Óli Ágústsson (Iceland)
Hannes worked at the National Theatre of Iceland 2010-2011 and 2014-2015 (productions include King Lear and All My Sons), at Akureyri Theatre Company 2012-2014 (productions include I Hired A Contract Killer and The Golden Gate) and at Reykjavik City Theatre 2017-2019 (productions include 1984, People Places and Things, and Heaven and Hell). Hannes has worked extensively in various independent theatre and dance productions from 2009 to the present day. Productions include Orphans, I Am the Wind, Shake Me, Whoops!, The Elusive Portal and Evil. Hannes was nominated for The Icelandic Film Awards as Best Supporting Actor in 2014 for Metalhead and for The Icelandic Theatre Awards as Best Supporting Actor in 2016 for Evil and in 2018 for Heaven and Hell. Film and television credits include the TV series Sense8, Documentary Now! and Stella Blomkvist, and films such as Bjarnfredarson, Metalhead, The County and Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. Hannes has taught at the theater department at The Icelandic University of the Arts and The Icelandic Film School, and is currently the programme director of the Acting department at The Icelandic University of the Arts.
- Vignir Rafn Valthorsson (Iceland)
Rafn graduated as an actor from Iceland University of the arts in 2007 and worked extensively in the National Theatre for the first years. He founded the independent theater group Children of misfortune in 2012 and has directed all the group’s shows since then, among them are Rocky!, Hans Blær, Illska and Bláskjár.
Vignir Rafn has three times been nominated Director of the Year at the Gríma theatre awards.
In total, Vignir Rafn has directed 17 shows in a professional theater with independent groups, Akureyri Theatre Company and the Reykjavík City Theatre.
Along with directing theatre projects, Vignir has acted in television and films. Including; Trapped 2, Black´s Game, Hlemmavideó and Ligeglad, but Vignir was also one of the screenwriters of Ligeglad and received the Edda Award for TV show of the year in 2017.
Vignir is currently working in the City Theatre as well as working on his masters degree in creative writing in the University of Iceland.
- Giammarco Buccellato (Italy)
Giammarco was born in Italy, precisely in Palermo (Sicily) in 1999, and he is an theater and film actor.
Since he was a child he has shown a strong vocation for any field that concerns art and entertainment. In fact, he will attend the "Damiani Almeyda" art school from which he will graduate in 2017. Buccellato will also graduate in 2022 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo, specializing in drawing and painting. Although he has shown a certain propensity for drawing from an early age, his main passion has always been cinema however, and although he starts working on some film sets immediately after high school, he decides not to start studying acting immediately after high school.
Buccellato, had the honor and fortune of being selected to work as a "special extra" for two weeks in "CYRANO" (2021), an international film directed by the famous Hollywood director Joe Wright, who directed other very famous films such as "Pride and Prejudice", "The darkest Hour" and "Anna Karenina".
Giammarco was chosen this year as the leading actor in two independent short films that will be released in Italy around September 2023 and took part in various theatrical performances, where he is the main actor in some of these.
However, acting is not his only interest, because he has always been a lover of nature, sport and animals.
Above all Buccellato is also interested in dancing and singing, he enjoys singing sporadically, and he also attended an excellent dance academy as teen period, studying a little modern dance but mainly hip hop for more than 4 years.
His dream is to act and live on cinema since he was a child, his goal is to be able to find continuous stimuli in expressing all the creative and communicative strength he has inside.

Project BGCULTURE-2.001-0115 “STAGE AT THE END OF TOWN”
is implemented with the financial support provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA Financial Mechanism to the amount of EUR 199 392.
The project is part of the OP “Cultural Entrepreneurship, Heritage and Cooperation”, Result 2 “Improved access to arts and culture”.
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to improving the conditions and quality of presentation of the rich cultural heritage in its diversity at both local and regional levels. Social and economic development and reduction of economic and social disparities within the European Economic Area will be achieved through the implementation of cultural cooperation between representatives of institutions and organizations from Bulgaria and Iceland.

Rock-Zone 29 on the road or the rehearsal room tour
Registration is active online through the link to the platform or by submitting a request at the "Ivan Dimov" Theater - Haskovo.
We are looking for 30 young people aged up to 29 who love theater and want to know what it feels like to be on the #stage and we are announcing a #casting call!
Preference will be given to candidates who have musical aptitudes and interests in the field of art. Within the framework of the project "Stage at the edge of the city" we will realize a youth theatrical and musical performance "Rock-zone 29 on the road or the tour of the rehearsal room".
The preparation of the performance will last 9 months (from October to June).
5 performances of the new production are planned, the premiere will be in the city of Haskovo (Haskovo municipality, Haskovo region), after which a tour of the performance will be held in the city of Dimitrovgrad (Dimitrovgrad municipality, Haskovo region), in the city of Ivaylovgrad (Ivaylovgrad municipality, Haskovo region) ), the village of Mineralni Bani (Municipality of Mineralni Bani, Haskovo Region) and in the community center of the village of Tatarevo (Parvomai Municipality, Plovdiv Region). The purpose of the production is to support the development of young talents and to encourage children and young people to engage in art.
Registration starts at 19:00 on September 23, 2022 at the venue during the performance The Stage - Longing for the Dream.

PETER GYNT на Дейвид Хеър е умен и забавен съвременен прочит на емблематичната поема „Пеер Гюнт“ от Хенрик Ибсен. С много настроение и чувство за хумор Дейвид Хеър прави ярки паралели със заобикалящия ни свят, като превръща героя на Ибсен в герой на нашето време и така с остър и тревожен тон изобличава несъвършенства на съвременния човек и общество.
Нашият герой пътува през различни реални и фантазни светове, плод на неговото въображение и желание да открие себе си, да надскочи своите собствени граници, да усъвършенства сам себе си. Притежава желанието, волята и енергията да завладее света, да го оцвети в цветовете на своите мечти и копнежи, но в края на пътя идва въпросът за смисъла от положените усилия, за скритото значение зад думите „бъди себе си“, за несподеленото, пропуснатото и отреченото. Това пътуване – метафора за нашия живот, разкрива измеренията на човешкото в метаморфозите на човека на XXI век.
PETER GYNT е една завладяваща и очарователна игра на човека със света и на света с човека, игра, в която правилата са създадени, за да се нарушават, до момента в който вече няма накъде.

The performances will be with free entry from 9:00 p.m. on an open stage in Yamacha Park.
As part of the festival program, there will be outdoor performances and shows, theater workshops and career guidance meetings.

Работим заедно за зелена, конкурентна и приобщаваща Европа
Какво?
Исландия, Лихтенщайн и Норвегия предоставят финансиране в размер на 2.8 милиарда евро за 15 държави – членки на ЕС и ЕИП в Централна и Източна Европа и Балтийския регион за периода 2014-2021 г.
Защо?
Финансовият механизъм на ЕИП и НФМ се основават на Споразумението за ЕИП. Съгласно споразумението Исландия, Лихтенщайн и Норвегия са част от вътрешния пазар на ЕС. Споразумението очертава общата цел за работа в сътрудничество за намаляване на икономическите неравенства в Европа. За тази цел, донорите създават Финансовия механизъм на ЕИП и Норвежкия финансов механизъм.

Държавите бенефициери са България, Хърватия, Кипър, Чехия, Естония, Гърция , Унгария, Латвия, Литва, Малта, Полша, Португалия , Румъния, Словакия и Словения.
Кои области?
По линия на Финансовия механизъм на ЕИП и НФМ Исландия, Лихтенщайн и Норвегия целят да подпомогнат, наред с друго, растежа и работните места, борбата с изменението на климата и енергийната зависимост и намаляването на бедността и социалното изключване.
